What is Tricare ?

TRICARE Standard is the Department of Defense Health Plan awarded to career military and their dependents at no charge. TRICARE pays approx. 75% of their health care costs. With TRICARE and our Supplement, there would be basically NO out-of-pocket expenses for your employees.
 
TRICARE has three levels:
  • TRICARE STANDARD is a major medical plan.
  • TRICARE EXTRA is a PPO.
  • TRICARE PRIME is a  HMO.
 
Our Supplement covers all three levels of TRICARE.
 

TRICARE Standard is a traditional major medical plan that pays 75% of health care costs at most any doctor or hospital. TRICARE extra is a PPO that pays 80%, while TRICARE Prime is a HMO that has a network of doctors and hospitals to be utilized.
